Welcome back to this week's restaurant round up! We are glad to have another edition out. This week, we spoke to restaurateurs from coast to coast, from Miami to Jacksonville.

DADE COUNTY

Mary's Refreshments & Tacos

A new food truck is in the works for South Florida. Mary's Refreshments & Tacos is opening it's third unit soon, co-operator Jossy Martinez told FFBW.

They serve a fusion of several hispanic foods and some American favorites as well, like burgers. When this new truck will be ready is unknown.

BROWARD COUNTY

Little Mike's Pizza

A new location of Little Mike's Pizza is on the way to Plantation, according to owner Michael Temchuk. The pizzeria has two other locations in South Florida, and this will be the third.

Temchuk told FFBW that he plans to open this unit in October. Once it's up and running, he'd also like to continue expanding, potentially into the Orlando area, and he'd like to franchise. Visit their website.

MARTIN COUNTY

PrimoHoagies

Franchisee Lorin Curit is planning to open his first restaurant next couple of months. PrimoHoagies is in the works for Stuart, Curit said. The sub shop is aiming to open its doors sometime in November.

Curit, who is making his first foray into restaurant ownership, told FFBW that PrimoHoagies' delicious product and familial corporate atmosphere drew him to opening this business.

COLLIER COUNTY

La Mesa Taqueria

A new Mexican restaurant is in the works for Marco Island, restaurateur Joseph Oliverio told FFBW. La Mesa Taqueria is planned to open in mid October, Oliverio estimates, and it will be his first Mexican restaurant.

Oliverio is the owner of Joey's Pizza & Pasta and Doreen's Cup of Joe, which are just a few doors down from where La Mesa will debut. Find it at: 297 N Collier Blvd, Marco Island, FL 34145.

As of now, their online presence is still being developed.

SARASOTA COUNTY

Agave Bandidos

A new Mexican restaurant is in the works for Sarasota, co-owner Howard Baum told FFBW. Agave Bandidos presents itself as "South Florida's Most Desirable Mexican Restaurant & Tequila Bar." The brand has a location in Pembroke Pines, and has plans for several others.

The Sarasota restaurant will be opening at: 1550 Lakefront Dr, Sarasota, FL 34240. Baum did not have specifics to share for now. Visit the brand's website to keep up to date with their other developments.

MANATEE COUNTY

Inner Compass Brewing Company

A new brewery and restaurant is in the works for Bradenton, co-owner Susan Carrubba told FFBW. Inner Compass Brewing Company will have a 2,500 square foot brew house with 160 seats, an event room, and an outdoor area abutting a lake.

The lodge style concept is set to open on November 21. The will be offering elevated bar foods that are paired thoughtfully with the beers they offer.

ORANGE COUNTY

Twenty Pho Hour

A new Pho shop is heading into Kissimmee , owner Viyarath Vongprachanh told FFBW. Twenty Pho Hour has one other location on International Drive in Orlando, and this will be their second restaurant in the Orlando area.

Vongprachanh said that at the very latest, they expect to open in December of this year. After this location is up and running, they will likely continue to expand the Twenty Pho Hour brand around Florida, Vongprachanh said.

SEMINOLE COUNTY

Teapioca Lounge

The Austin, Texas-based brand Teapioca Lounge is set to open its first Florida location in Oviedo, franchisee Quan Nyugen told FFBW. The new tea shop will bring a wide array of teas, coffees, handcrafted sodas, shaved ice, and other desserts to Central Florida.

Nyugen said that they hope to open in late October, and that they are amidst the build out right now. Find them at: 15 Alafaya Woods Blvd, Oviedo, FL 32765.

BREVARD COUNTY

Urban Prime

A new upscale marketplace and restaurant is preparing to open in Melbourne, owner and veteran restaurateur Ercan Ekinci told FFBW. Urban Prime will have 9 departments within, offering everything from groceries to gourmet meals, drinks, fine wines, and more.

The concept will offer indoor and outdoor seating areas, two full bars, several house signature cocktails and wines, and a wide range of food offerings, from dry aged steak to seafood.

Ekinci reports that they are obtaining their licenses and are about to begin training their 125 staff members. If all goes according to plan, they will open near the end of this month. Visit their social media for forthcoming updates.

Yogurt Youngins

A new frozen yogurt concept is preparing to open on Merritt Island, entrepreneur Teri Farner told FFBW. Yogurt Youngins will be a frozen yogurt shop designed to welcome families and children as a safe haven for reasonably priced frozen yougurt and play areas.

Farner told FFBW that she's operated numerous day car centers and has a passion for children. Her new yogurt shop will reflect that, as she hopes to foster a place for parents to bring in their kids to play while they enjoy numerous flavors of frozen yogurt and extensive toppings.

While Yogurt Youngins will start out serving frozen yogurt and drinks, Farner said that she'd love to expand into offering hot dogs and other quick and easy foods.

POLK COUNTY

HY-Tech Cuisine Food Truck

Owner Martha Stephens debuted her food truck, HY-Tech Cuisine on Friday, September 8. Originally from Philadelphia, Stephens offers the famous cheesesteaks, along with other crowd pleasers like pulled pork, chilly cheese fries, Louisiana Gumbo, breakfast sandwiches, and more.

The truck sits at: 4010 E State Rd 60, Plant City, FL 33567, where it will be permanently stationed for the time being.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY

Romeo Tea

A new boba tea shop is opening very soon, owner Rizwan Sabir told FFBW. Romeo Tea is the first location of this brand in the US.

Sabir said that they are planning to expand across Florida. Additionally, they will begin to serve food out of their tea shop, but that won't start for until the coming months Sabir told FFBW.

Tampeno on the Go

Owner Orlando Rangel told FFBW that he is working on opening a new food truck in the Tampa area. Tampeno on the Go will serve sandwiches and other light foods, Rangel said.

An exact opening date isn't known right now, but Rangel predicts to be operational in the next couple of weeks.

PINELLAS COUNTY

Me Gusta NY Food Truck

Co-owner Ramon Arguinzoni told FFBW that he and his wife Erica Rivera Arguinzoni are in the process of opening a new food truck in the St. Pete area. Originally from New York, the couple owns two restaurants there, and one of them is called Me Gusta. To reflect their New York restaurant, the couple is debuting its mobile counterpart here in Florida.

Me Gusta NY Food Truck is a 32 foot long mobile kitchen that will bounce from events to weddings to parties and to giving back to the community. The Arguinzoni's will once a week serve the community free food, especially for those who are in need.

An exact menu hasn't been established yet, but The Arguinzoni's said that soon they will nail down which cuisine and flavors they will be known for. However, they will offer a broad catering menu that spans from American, Caribbean, Asian, European food, and more.

Expect to see a large 70" flat screen on the outside of their trailer for slideshows, gaming, videos, and more. Arguinzoni plans to open in the first week of November. Follow their Instagram for updates.


Blessed Cup

Clearwater Beach's cafe Blessed Cup is expanding to St. Petersburg soon, owner David Schaefer told FFBW. The brand is known for its delicious coffees and cafe-style foods, like waffles, sandwiches, salads, and smoothies.

Schaefer said that they are hoping open in the next two months. The St. Pete location will be on campus at the Galen College of Nursing, and he plans to offer specials to students. This location will also feature fresh made baked goods, like cinnamon rolls and more.

VOLUSIA COUNTY

Typsy Unicorns Brewing

A new brewery and eatery is in the works for Edgewater, co-owner Michelle Rivera told FFBW. Typsy Unicorns Brewing will have a soft opening sometime this month and plans to host a grand opening in October.

The concept will bring the town an elevated brewery that offers seasonal drinks and food. Typsy Unicorns will be movie themed, Rivera said. Wednesday - Saturday, Rivera will be offering a small food menu, and during the rest of the week, they will only serve drinks.

Manzano's Port Orange Deli

A new location of Manzano's Deli is in the works for Port Orange, co-owner Angela Thompson told FFBW. The new deli will serve your classic cold and hot subs on New York imported bread. Additionally, they will have a grill and offer Philly cheese steaks, fresh cut fries, and more.

Thompson said that she hopes to open by the end of this month. Manzano's Deli already has one location in New Smyrna Beach. Check the website to get an idea of their menu. This location will open at: 4011 S Nova Rd c, Port Orange, FL 32127.

MARION COUNTY

Kwench Juice Cafe

A new restaurant offering healthy juices, smoothies, açaí bowls, and more is in the works for Ocala, owner Amber Ward told FFBW. Kwench Juice Cafe is a brand with locations in several states, and Ward is bringing it to Central Florida.

Ward is aiming to open in November. After they open, Ward will update the menu to include offerings like toast and wraps. She reported wanted to continue expanding but doesn't have concrete plans yet.

DUVAL COUNTY

Capital Tacos

A new location of the Tampa-based Capital Tacos is in the works for Jacksonville, franchisee James Muller told FFBW. Him and his wife, Brenna, are preparing to open the Tex-Mex concept later this year.

According to a press release, once the Mullers establish this one location, they will continue to grow the brand's presence throughout Jacksonville. This is James and Brenna's first foray into restaurant ownership; however, James is a seasoned veteran in the food and beverage industry. He told FFBW that he was the former Executive Chef at Magiano's Little Italy in St. John's town center.
