An existing stand at the Big Pine Key Flea Market is moving into a food trailer soon, owner John Kelly told FFBW.
Johnny Coconuts has made a reputation for itself selling Boston style sausages and Philly cheesesteaks at the flea market. Now, Kelly reports that their new trailer will allow them to add fries, onion rings, burgers, and wings to the menu.
Kelly doesn't have an exact opening date quite yet; he expects sometime this month if the inspections process goes smoothly. Find him at the flea market for his renowned Philly cheesesteaks at: 30250 Overseas Hwy, Big Pine Key, FL 33043.
Assa Restaurant and Bakery
A new kosher restaurant is in the works for North Miami Beach, owner Nissim Cohen reported to FFBW. Assa Restaurant and Bakery is planned to open soon, maybe next month, Cohen said.
Owner Leo Machado told FFBW that he is planning to open a new food truck called Fishboys Kitchen. The truck will serve an array of seafoods, from their specialty ceviche, to fish and chips, to fried plantains paired with ceviche or salmon, and more.
Fishboys Kitchen is Machado's passion project and is his first stab at the food and beverage industry. He plans to steadily expand into several locations once he finds his footing with Fishboys Kitchen.
Machado plans to open in mid-to-late November, depending on when he gets through inspections.
A new location of the made-to-order donut brand Duck Donuts is opening up in Miramar soon, franchisee Edward Kaplan told to FFBW. Kaplan reporting that they will likely open in mid-December.
This will be Kaplan's fourth location of Duck Donuts. His other units are in Boca Raton, Ft. Myers and Naples.

Rule G Brewing Company
A new micro brewery and restaurant is coming to Coconut Creek soon, founder Ralph Rapa shared with FFBW. Rule G Brewing Company is seeking to create a hangout focused on good beer, unique pub food, and railroad inspiration.
Rapa, who had a career in railroading, shared that rule G is a railroad regulation for not being drunk on the job. The rustic, railroad inspired concept will influence dishes like elk and bison sausage, German pretzels and other such items.
Sweets & Meats
A new food truck is debuting in the Melbourne area soon, owner Tina Vandermosten reported to FFBW. Sweets & Meats has a continuously rolling menu of burgers, Philly cheesesteaks, and desserts.
Sweets & Meats initially opened in May of this year, but Vandermosten is now upgrading to a new truck. She will open once they get through the inspections process.

East Coast Boba Company
A new boba shop is opening in Vero Beach, co-owner Teresa Luna reported to FFBW. East Coast Boba Company will serve classic milk teas, Vietnamese coffee, and more.
Luna shared that they will likely open in early December. Their shop will offer a small seating area, and will be located at: 1418 16th St, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

A new pizza shop is coming to Orlando soon. Co-franchisee Daniel Hernandez told FFBW that he is planning to open PieZoni's Pizza in December.
Hernandez and his partners own the franchise rights for Orlando, and they plan to have 5-7 locations open by the end of 2024. The first unit will open at: 11895 S Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL 32836.
Following this, they will open in Windermere. An address isn't available right now. Hernandez said they'll likely open in Windermere in 3 months.

A new location of ChimiKing Restaurant is coming to Kissimmee soon, owner Henry Roedan told FFBW. The brand is known for serving a blend of Dominican and Puerto Rican food. Roedan bought the ChimiKing food truck in 2009 and grew the business to several brick and mortar locations.
The Kissimmee restaurant will be the 5th unit. Roedan expects to open in early December. This location will be fast casual, with a drive thru and a smaller menu. Expect beer and wine to be served. Find them at: 1550 W Vine St, Kissimmee, FL 34741.

Owner Sandy Ellis recently opened Spunky Doo's, a food truck boasting a large menu of American-style favorites. Ellis reported to FFBW that they recently opened on the 5th of October, and have been staked out at 143 Summit St, Crescent City, FL 32112.
Spunky Doo's offers multiple types of burgers, fries, salads (in deep fried tortilla bowls), slaw dogs, coney dogs, chili dogs, butter cheesesteaks, and much more, including a weekly special.
Ellis reported that the long term goal is to assemble a fleet of food trucks to bounce around different events in Central Florida. Visit the Parker House bar in Crescent City to try out their extensive food offerings.
Savies Lunch Cart
Owner Xavier Melendez reported that he is opening a hot dog cart soon. He will serve a New York Style hot dogs with a Puerto Rican twist.
Currently, Melendez is going through inspections. He plans to open around the turn of the year.
Compa Coffee and Cocktails
A new craft coffee shop by day and cocktail lounge by night is opening in Sarasota, co-owner Zachery Adkins told FFBW. Compa Coffee and Cocktails is poised to open this, Adkins reported.
They will serve breakfast items and specialty coffees in the morning starting at 7:30; however, as coffee drinking and daytime activities wind down, they will pivot into a cocktail bar and restaurant. Adkins reported that they will serve elevated pub and bar fare until 11 during the week and midnight on the weekends.

Adkins also owns Origin Craft Beer and Pizza Cafe and Osteria 500.
Focaccia Sandwich & Bakery
A new chef driven sandwich shop and bakery is opening in Sarasota soon. A representative of Focaccia reported that they plan to open in early January.
The menu will include fresh baked focaccia, artificial preservative-free ingredients, and refined recipes. All of the sandwiches are served on their house made focaccia. For beverages, they will offer craft sodas, beer and wine. The whole menu can be seen on the brand's website here.
An opening date is approaching quickly for Angelina's Deli, owner Angelina Giambo reported to FFBW. The Italian-style deli is looking at having a family and friends soft opening this week.
Following the soft opening, Giambo is planning to have a grand opening on December 2nd. Watch out for charcuterie brunches on the weekends, sandwiches, salads, wraps, beer and wine.

Co-owner Grant Strayer reported to FFBW that Gateway Subs is opening their third location soon. They are focused on bringing high standards and transparency to food service. Gateway Subs has become a neighborhood staple in the St. Pete and South Pasadena where their other shops operate.
This new sub shop will open at: 5931 4th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33703. Strayer reported that they will have a VIP opening on November 8, a soft opening on the 13th, and a grand opening during the first full week of December. At their previous grand openings, they gave away 166 subs.
A new Dominican street food cart is opening in the Dade City area soon. Owner Kelvin Agramonte told FFBW that he is planning to open as soon as he gets through the inspections process.
Plantain Man will serve fried plantains, fried chicken, beef and pork and more. Agramonte's food stand will be covered, and he will cook on site to provide his favorite Dominican street dishes.
An exact opening date isn't available right now, but watch out for it soon.
Ice Cream King
A second location of Ice Cream King is in the works for Ocala, owner Keval Patel told FFBW. Patel reports that they will likely open in a few months.
This ice cream shop will have more flavors than the first location Patel reported. Expect to find it at: 9570 SW 62nd Avenue Rd #400, Ocala, FL 34476.
Owner Craig Frick reported to FFBW that he is opening his second location of Neighborhood Scoop in Daytona Beach. This ice cream shop will not be far from the original location at Ormond Beach.
Frick reports that they will open sometime in mid November. They will offer ice cream, coffee, fruit smoothies, shakes, and more.
The Neighborhood Scoop brand is poised to continue expanding, and in the next 10 years, Frick reported that he'd like to reach 10 units. Find this location at: 228 S Beach St, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
