As always, there are more restaurants and food trucks opening throughout central and south Florida. This week, we've got a nice county-by-county breakdown of what's developing in your city!
Florida's first Carl's Jr. is making way into Doral, COO of CKE Restaurants Chris Bode told FFBW. The iconic brand is breaking into the market with its first unit and has plans to continue expanding.
Carl's Jr. will be coming to the area by way of a partnership between CKE Restaurant Holdings, INC and RSMG Holding, LLC. Bode said that the south Florida area will likely see several locations open in the coming years. When the Doral unit will open is unknown, but the current estimate is late 2023.
CKE Restaurants is a privately held company that runs and operates Carl's Jr. and Hardee's restaurants.

A new mediterranean cafe is opening in Hallandale Beach, co-franchisee Oshrat Katri Dulberg told FFBW. Cafe Landwer has several locations across the globe, and this will be their Florida debut.
The space at 805 SE 1st Ave, Hallandale Beach, FL 33009 is under construction, Dulberg said. They are expecting to open by the end of next month if all continues smoothly.
This restaurant, Dulberg said, will feature a large outdoor seating area and some changes to the brand's menu. They will also have a full bar and will be open late. Dulberg emphasized that this will be more than your usual Mediterranean restaurant.

Hook's Catch Seafood and Wings
Owner Awni Dirdis told FFBW that he is preparing to open another location of his Hook's Seafood and Wings brand in Coconut Creek this week. The brand has several locations open between Tennessee, Louisiana, and Florida.
Additionally, a second location will also be opening next year in Fort Myers. However, an address is not available at this time. Dirdis indicated that one more restaurant may be in the works, but it's too early to share any details, he said.

PALM BEACH COUNTY
A new ice cream and pastries shop is opening in Boynton Beach, co-owner Linda Gonzalez told FFBW. Jungle Kone, Gonzalez said, has the goal of creating memorable experiences for kids, especially those with special needs.
Jungle Kone is an offshoot of CDE Community Outreach, and Gonzalez said that they will have costumed characters in the shop to interact with and spread joy among the patrons.
The dessert shop will serve coffee, ice cream, pastries, sodas, and eventually, some food items. Find them at: 901 N Congress Ave d 101, Boynton Beach, FL 33426.
ST. LUCIE COUNTY
Co-owner Barry Higgins told FFBW that he is opening a pizzeria next door to his two other business: The Office Sports Pub and Overtime at the Office. The two bars will share walls with the incoming Breakroom Pizza.
Higgins reported that they will offer other bar-style foods as well. Breakroom will stay open late, 2AM, to feed the hungry bar goers next door.

Franchisee Alain Capucci told FFBW that he is planning to debut Florida's first location of Hummus Republic, a growing franchise of vegetarian and vegan food. Other locations are also in planning for Orlando and Jacksonville, but this Fort Myers restaurant will likely open before any others.
Capucci is the franchisee of the southwest Florida territory and will open more locations between Lee, Charlotte, and Collier County. The Fort Myers unit will open at: 10093 Gulf Center Dr #2, Fort Myers, FL 33913.
They recently received construction permits and will begin the build out soon. Capucci estimated that they will open between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Additionally, Capucci is working on a concept call Baklawa Cafe, which will feature Turkish, Greek, and Lebanese style coffees, pastries, Italian espresso, and other treats. This concept won't be opened until sometime in 2024.

Rock'N Rolls German Bakery & Bistro
A new German bakery and restaurant is opening in Cape Coral, owner Joe Domescheit told FFBW. Rock'N Rolls German Bakery & Bistro is under development right now and has plans to open during the second week of November.
Domescheit reported that they will serve a range of German pastries and breads, along with a lunch menu of schnitzel, meatloaf, gravy with mashed potatoes, and more. Additionally, the restaurant will be an homage to Cape Coral, Domescheit said, as they will have historical photos of the city for decorations.

Maryland Crab Grab
Maryland native Scott Rill told FFBW that he is planning to open a food truck soon in Ellenton. Maryland Crab Grab will serve Maryland style seafood, Rill said, like lump crab cakes, fries, and BBQ potato rounds.
Still waiting on licensing to be approved, Rill anticipates opening toward the end of next month. In the future, Rill may expand into serving Maryland style steamed crab and shrimp.
A new restaurant serving Balkan, Greek, and Mediterranean food is planning to open this upcoming weekend, co-owners Irma and Hasim Huseinovic told FFBW. The Huseinovic family is originally from Bosnia, and they are bringing authentic Balkan cuisine to Clearwater.
Palm Bistro has been a lifelong dream for the family's matriarch, Gospa Huseinovic. A cook since the age of 7, Gospa has dreamt of opening her own restaurant for years. With a grand opening scheduled for this Saturday, she will be able to fulfill her dream.

Edgar Bourgeot Paez told FFBW that his is preparing to open his second food truck in the Brandon area. The Botalon Grill brand has one food truck that is currently open in Bradenton. Paez said that the second truck will open in about a week.

Charley's Cheesesteaks and Wings & Hershey's Ice Cream
Co-franchisee Adel Salaheldin told FFBW that he is planning to open a dual concept around Thanksgiving. This location will combine a Hershey's Ice Cream shop with Charley's Cheesesteaks and Wings, Salaheldin said. This is the first time the brands have been under the same roof, he said.
Salaheldin has owned other Charley's franchises that he has since sold. At the latest, he estimates that this location could open in December, but he is planning for the week before Thanksgiving.

Taste of Home Grill
A new location for the Caribbean and southern cooking restaurant Taste of Home Grill is in the works for Winter Haven, owner Jessica Amy-Mundle told FFBW. The new restaurant is currently finishing up construction, Amy-Mundle said.
An opening date is not known at this time. Amy-Mundle said that they will serve traditional and contemporary Caribbean and southern-style foods.

Real Smoke N Grill
A new family-owned food truck is opening soon in Melbourne, owner Gary Holmes told FFBW. Real Smoke N Grill has already had a soft opening, and they are waiting to find the right location to host their grand opening.
Holmes reported that they are serving southern, oak wood smoked BBQ. They make brisket, pulled pork, chicken, macaroni, baked beans, and more. All of their meat is seasoned for 48 hours prior to cooking, Holmes said.
Vida Cocina & Tequila
A modern Mexican-style restaurant is under development in Altamonte Springs, owner Efrain Torres told FFBW. Vida Cocina & Tequila is planned to open in early November, but an exact date is unknown.
Torres also owns the Garibaldi Mexican Restaurant on Sand Lake Road; however, Vida Cocina & Tequila will be an entirely different concept and atmosphere.
A new brand is kicking off its first location in Winter Springs, owner Maged Abd El-Shahed told FFBW. Greek Eatery is currently under construction, El-Shahed said. An opening date is not known as of now.

A new food truck is in the works for the Ocala area, owner Henry Rose told FFBW. Rose is planning to open on November 1st, he said. However, he is still waiting for licensing to be approved.
